For the Soundscape project I got this image called The Laugh - La Risata, the image is quite open to interpretation and I want to avoid finding out the actual meaning of the painting to allow a wider range of directions that I can take the animatic in.
On first impressions it seems like an underwater scene surrounded by machinery or potions, so I will experiment with sounds relating to water and machinery.
Mermaids (as it looks like in the image) now are seen as beautiful and fairytale like, when back in the day they were mischevious and used to seduce sailors into the sea to drown them, maybe it could act as a wild party gone wrong? as if theres all this beauty and colour when really its chaos, its kind of an evil temptation covered in glitter.
